Abstract

This study comprehensively examines the concept of educational leadership from the perspective of Nidzham Al-Mulk, a prominent statesman and pioneer of Islamic educational reform during the Seljuk Dynasty. The main focus of the study is a deep analysis of the values, principles, and leadership strategies implemented by Nidzham Al-Mulk, as well as their influence on the development of the educational system in the Nizamiyah Madrasah. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, reviewing primary and secondary literature related to the figure, institutions, and classical Islamic educational systems. The results show that Nidzham Al-Mulk’s leadership model emphasizes principles of justice, generosity, consultation, collaboration, advancement of knowledge, religiosity, and integration of religious values in educational policies. The application of these principles successfully created an inclusive, professional, and adaptive educational system. The Nizamiyah Madrasah became a model educational institution focused on quality, wide access, and training of scholars, which had a long-lasting influence on Islamic education development. The relevance of Nidzham Al-Mulk’s leadership model to modern education is reflected in the importance of equitable access, innovation, collaboration, and character education based on religious values. This model can inspire contemporary educational leaders to build institutions that are excellent, have integrity, and are globally competitive. This research contributes both theoretically and practically to Islamic educational leadership in modern contexts.
